About
WhalePail is a simple app to generate RSS feeds for a variety of Twitter data. You plug in a few parameters, and get back an RSS feed, which you can then check whenever you want. The feed is in digest form, meaning that each entry will be a day's worth of tweets, instead of getting one post per tweet. This is handy if there's someone or something you want to follow on Twitter, but the standard methods of using Twitter aren't working for you.
To get started, you will need to authorize WhalePail to query Twitter with your account credentials. This will just take a second and then you will be sent back here. We will never collect any information about your account.
Once that's done, you can setup some searches. You can setup:
- Tweets from a specified user
- Mentions of a user
- Replies to a user
- or, you can Search for any phrase in tweets
We allow you to specify how often you would like to update the search. It can be as quickly as every hour, or just once a day
When your search is created, it will be added to a list of existing searches. You can get the RSS feed for any of them, or use the 'unified' RSS feed to get all of your searches at once
If you'd like to give it a try, you can get started by clicking the button below:
NOTE: We aren't asking for you to authorize via Twitter so that we can send one of those obnoxious auto-tweets -- it's just a quick and easy way to setup an account.
